Let’s take a look at how to use the Keyword Insight tool.
Start by creating a new project or opening an existing one in POP, then go to the keyword tools on the right and click "Create New."
Then enter in up to 100 keywords for analysis.
The Keyword Insight tool provides both basic and advanced data.
Basic Data includes monthly search volume ranges (high and low), search volume trends, difficulty score, current Google rank, ranking URL, and competition strength.
Advanced insights include Keyword Score, Keyword Golden Ratio (KGR) score, SEO Competitiveness Index, and All-in-Title metric. Plus, with AI-powered analysis, you can quickly identify top and supporting keywords to build your content silos.
Basic Metrics Inside the Keyword Insight Tool Include:
Monthly search volume - both high and low
This will show you the range of the monthly high and low search volume for each keyword you have uploaded.
This metric displays a percentage based on the difficulty of ranking for the given keyword. The higher the percentage, the more difficult the keyword will be to rank for.
This shows what position you are ranking for on Google from your list of keywords.
This displays the URL of your website that is ranked for the given keyword.
This metric shows the monthly percentage increase or decrease in search demand for a given keyword.
Advanced Metrics Inside the Keyword Insight Tool Include:
Keyword Golden Ratio Score or KGR
The Keyword Golden Ratio (KGR) is a valuable SEO metric that helps identify low-competition, high-opportunity keywords. It is calculated by dividing the number of Google search results that include the exact keyword phrase in the title by the keyword's monthly local search volume.
The Keyword Score is a proprietary (POP only), weighted metric designed to highlight the most valuable keywords for your SEO strategy. It combines several important factors, including:
Monthly Search Volume: How frequently the keyword is searched for, indicating its popularity and traffic potential.
Competition Strength: The level of competition for that keyword in search engine rankings.
Keyword difficulty: A calculation of how long it might take for your content to achieve a high ranking for the keyword, factoring in the competition and current ranking positions.
The Keyword Score simplifies decision-making by giving you a clear, color-coded signal. The darker the green, the better the keyword in terms of both opportunity and ease of ranking. Keywords with a high score offer a strong balance of traffic potential and achievable ranking success, making them ideal targets for your SEO strategy.
The SEO Competitiveness Index is a proprietary metric that evaluates the level of SEO optimization for a given keyword based on two key factors:
Title Optimization Frequency: This represents how many pages explicitly target the keyword in their page titles, signaling intentional optimization. Since the title is one of the most prominent on-page SEO elements, a higher frequency indicates that more competitors are actively targeting the keyword in their on-page strategy.
Backlink Anchor Text Relevance: This measures how many external links pointing to various pages use the keyword in their anchor text. When websites receive backlinks with relevant anchor text, it demonstrates a stronger off-page SEO effort, as backlinks are a major ranking factor in search algorithms.
By assessing these two factors together, the SEO Competitiveness Index gives a comprehensive view of how many pages are actively optimized for the keyword, both in terms of on-page elements (title) and off-page elements (backlinks). This can help gauge how much effort competitors are putting into ranking for a specific keyword.
This metric shows the number of pages that use the exact keyword in their title tag. A higher number suggests more competition targeting the keyword in in on-page SEO.
